Notes:
KISS Principle — Keep It Simple Stupid!
Kahiga got many healthy habits from his family. If you don’t have that, you may need a mentor.
VALUE — Most important thing: Consistency
It takes about 40 days for something to go from a thing to a habit. (Some studied say 66 days)
VALUE — Forgive yourself.
Kahiga didn’t set out to create the ITEM, but he did commit to having a monthly public event, pushing himself off the cliff.
He recommends blocking out time. You might not get it all done, but you know what you’ll need to do tomorrow.
Kahiga used a life coach to get him through the transition from law to tech.
He went through a formal evaluation process, where 20 peers reviewed him.
VALUE — Even if you can’t afford a formal process, get feedback from peers.
The only way to hone entrepreneurship is repetition.
The “Facebook” story isn’t reality. Real entrepreneurship takes time, grit, and small increments.
Check out the inclusion I hack on November 1st!
