  • KISS Principle — Keep It Simple Stupid!

  • Kahiga got many healthy habits from his family. If you don’t have that, you may need a mentor.

  • VALUE — Most important thing: Consistency

  • It takes about 40 days for something to go from a thing to a habit. (Some studied say 66 days)

  • VALUE — Forgive yourself.

  • Kahiga didn’t set out to create the ITEM, but he did commit to having a monthly public event, pushing himself off the cliff.

  • He recommends blocking out time. You might not get it all done, but you know what you’ll need to do tomorrow.

  • Kahiga used a life coach to get him through the transition from law to tech.

  • He went through a formal evaluation process, where 20 peers reviewed him.

  • VALUE — Even if you can’t afford a formal process, get feedback from peers.

  • The only way to hone entrepreneurship is repetition.

  • The “Facebook” story isn’t reality. Real entrepreneurship takes time, grit, and small increments.

  • Check out the inclusion I hack on November 1st!
